Healthy food isn't pretty, I guess

This article examines problems with an effort by Kraft Foods to make Alpha-Bits cereal with 75% whole grain and without a sugar coating. According to the Times, the use of whole grain made the letters "a bit too chunky to be legible," and the lack of a sugar coating "caused the letters to break apart more easily" in milk. I thought this was an interesting problem that had never occurred to me.

This has been a long day at work. It has been very warm in here, so last week a guy came to fix it. Now it is definitely in the 60's. I am quite chilly. I am sort of appreciating the cold, though, because I have been vaguely pukey since about 7:15 this morning and the chill takes the edge off. There was a point this morning at work where I thought I was going to lose it, but I got some foodie in me and that calmed things down quite a bit. I'm actually perfectly happy getting progressively more and more ill because that means my hormones are going up and up and that the wee one is likely fine. I just wish the sign of a healthy baby was my ear turning orange or a peculiar ache in my elbow or something else non-belly-related. I would like to go to the gym tonight, but I'm a little nervous about making my belly bounce around that much. We'll see...
